March 16, 2017: California's wet winter is a reprieve from drought conditions, but is it enough to declare the drought over?

February 23, 2017: After the Oroville Dam scare, the rest of California's dam infrastructure is called into question amid heavy storms. Anderson Dam in Santa Clara county is the newest source of concern after it rises to 102% capacity. Because it has been flagged as possibly unsafe during earthquakes, Anderson Dam is supposed to remain below 68% capacity.
January 2017: See river stations that are projected to flood after heavy precipitation in the third week of January. View their proximity to a "dangerous" flooding designation.
October 2016: According to data as of Spring 2016, 90 of California's 236 groundwater sub-basins are not producing groundwater measurements. California has experienced a dramatic decrease in overall active groundwater measurement stations from peak drought years of 2014 and 2015 to today.

The darkest green areas have experienced no loss in active stations. The darkest red areas have not recorded measurements from any station so far this year.
